The part with the cat watching the movie was freaky as fuck though. They could actually scan the brain and reassemble the activity of the visual neurons into a picture, essentially recording what the cat sees. It's pretty low quality at the present moment, but wow. I can only imagine in the future it will be possible to watch through someones eyes, recording how they see the world around them.
The way the image taken from the cat's brain showed a "cat-like" appearance, though it may have just been the noise distorting the image, really freaked me out. Maybe in the future this technology will be better refined, and we will be able to see better what the world looks like through someones/somethings eyes.I won't even get into all the shit about different people's perceptions, like is your blue the same as my blue?
